Sustainable

 

We believe that good design is also sustainable design. To this end, we infuse all projects with sustainable practices (while meeting schedule and budget requirements) whether or not the project is seeking LEED certification. As communities continue to adopt and embrace sustainable practices, we blend clients' needs with environmentally sound design, which can include considerations for:

     

     - Reduced development area/footprint - We test multiple concepts to determine the least possible impact to the site and surrounding areas.

     

     - Native plantings - Our planting plans use native or naturalized plants with reduced maintenance and water requirements, while providing valuable habitat.

     

     - Water conservation - We implement low-flow irrigation systems and/or

reduce irrigation wherever possible.

     

     - Storm water management - In close coordination with local agency

requirements, we develop best management practices for storm water that can also include native plantings, rain gardens and water conservation efforts such as storm water re-use.
